I had a most unusual experience while driving on the bus earlier today.

I was sitting, looking outside the window, minding my own business, clearing my mind when the bus came to a stop. A car drove up to the side and stopped too. Inside, on the passenger seat, a small, hairy grey Jack Russel Terrier-like dog was sitting nicely and upright, looking out the window. It was wearing a kind of checkered bandana around its neck, like a little charmer and had an expression on its face like it didn’t care about anything in the world.

A second before I looked at it, it had turned its head and looked at me with an indifferent, expressionless face, as if saying “Oh, you’re here too?”. And before I could reflect upon what was happening, I found myself looking with the same expression back at it, like I was saying “Yeah. So what’s up?”. It was like we had a thing going on there for a while, before the bus and the car started moving again, and just as the dog began loosing sight of me it looked as if it was saying “Well, see ya’ later dude, take care.” and I went “Yeah, you too”.

Gotta love that dog for making my day.
