Educational worries
It’s always hard to switch lives. The past couple of years, I’ve been in the process of refurbish myself and my life. The hardest part for me is to figure out where my focus should be aimed at, since I’ve always been the kind of person, that has no really “clear” focus in regards to my abilities. I know a little bit of many things, but not a lot of one thing.
This led me to think about doing something in movies or television, since those media tend to mix a lot of what I do: design, photo, music etc. Plus I like to be a part of a larger process, and I’ll admit: I like to be in charge of something that demands my vision to become a tangible experience for others (hence, the music business). The only thing I’m not experienced at is narration and storytelling (except for the musical kind, of course). I don’t know. I’m not the guy who’s been running around with a film camera, since he was a child, but I believe I do know what’s good and bad. I’ll stop before this turns into a job application.
The big bugger is that the National Film School of Denmark doesn’t take in students until 2007. This would mean that I would be finished when I’m 38 or 39, if I applied (and got in at first shot). Ha, ha. Talk about missing the bus.

You are, I guess, like most creative people, a generalist, not a specialist. Generalists tie things together; they are the glue of a process or team. They keep the big picture in mind and are usually no less than great innovators, bringing new ideas to a project or process if they feel it would benefit the overall result. Most great directors, composers, politicians and company executives are generalists to the bone, highly skilled at communicating ideas and motivating specialists to give their best. Try to see your self in that light. Maybe you aren’t lost - maybe you have just found your self?

David, as one of the few people, who know me best in that regard, I do not take your words for granted. It warms my heart. Thank you!
And thanks, Mando. Sometimes a random shot can become quite intriguing.
