Comix time!
Ah. My back is getting better. Played the gig Friday (Mikken & Jens - the rest of the trio - moved the gear - thanks, you guys) and it went very well. Always nice to play in front of an interested and supportive audience.
Lying on my back for the past few days, I’ve been surfing a bit. Then I stumbled upon two cartoonists, who deserve all the luck they can get. Derek Kirk Kim is a true master of his craft. Especially his “Same Difference” is brilliant. Check out his comics section, heck, check it all out. I’m going to invest in “Same Difference”, that’s a fact.
Jeff Rowland’s Copper is also worth some of your precious minutes. The work of him & Derek brings back some of my old ambitions regarding creating a ‘real’ comic myself. By ‘real’, I mean, something that could be published. I’ve drawn a lot of this stuff when I was younger, but somehow my narrative skills haven’t lived up to my own expectations, so it has been a while since I’ve done something like that.
No pics today, sorry. Lying on my back and only commuting back and forth to a gig and a grocery store haven’t produced any sparkling photos…
