Adobe is buying Macromedia! Bloody hell. I never saw this one coming. Hopefully, just hopefully, the Macromedia Flash interface will finally get a facelift!

Apart form that, I really do not know what to say… Is this good or bad? I mean, I love Adobe & its programs, but I still do not like it when companies are being overtaken.

I still remember back in 1998 when Quark (the m…f…s) bought a small company called mFactory who did a brilliant app, called mTropolis that was more powerful, versatile and intuitive than Macromedia’s Director. The only thing they did was buying the company and shutting it down, killing this marvellous app. Several years after, supporters (among them, me) of mTropolis fought a brave fight for its survival, but with no luck. Let us see what Adobe has up its sleeve…
