Music Pirates!

No, this is not a rant about mp3-pirates. What pisses me off is that sometimes you see TV commercials by renowned companies, using music that is not licensed – but total ripped off. I’ve seen several commercials doing this – among those one of the leading Danish banks – Den Danske Bank, using something right out of Radiohead’s albums.

An example: A Danish bike manufacturer – Kildemoes, who actually does it a lot. Take a look at this commercial and then put on Zero Seven’s In the Waiting Line from their album Simple Things. Total rip-off. They may have got a license to do this public stunt, but it totally undermines the creativity by the real artists, who did the original (and brilliant) number, which makes me mad. Give the real artist the credit for their efforts, or go make your own shit. Period.
