Whoever dares, wins - the new [°} v5!
Giddyup! Finally! Welcome to [°} Interiority version 5.0 (beta), code named Complex. Boy, have I worked on this for a while now. Yes, that was the small secret I talked about earlier. The reason I launch it as a beta is that I’m only finished with the blog & photography section, but I wanted to launch now, because it will be a while before all content is up and I didn’t want to deal with two blog systems in the meantime.
I’ve bitched about the previous design (which was almost three years old) and the fact that I had to code the blog myself for a while now, so I decided to switch to Wordpress after some serious considerations and tests. That meant that I had to transform all previous posts to this new system and that took me quite a while. But now it’s done and I’m pretty pleased with it. No need to worry about it in the next couple of years. :-)
So, here’s the roundup:
- Not all content is up yet, only the blog + photography. This means that:
- A few posts will link to something that isn’t there (yet)
- I’ll still be fiddling around with it, so expect some quirks (hopefully not major ones) until all is in place
- The new design is XHTML 1.0 Strict with CSS2 (some CSS3), so Internet Explorer on PC fucks it up big time because it sucks really bad, right now regarding standards. If any of you remember it - back in the late ’90s Netscape was the big culprit, being totally impossible to work with regarding web design. Now it’s Explorer (Netscape still suck). So:
- If you’re on a Windows PC, do yourself a favour and get Firefox, immediately! Not only does it follow the standards, it is also much safer.
I hope you find the new look and system pleasing. Please do tell me if the comments section is too cumbersome, regarding the security image. I have some paranoia about being blog-spammed… And feel free to comment upon all this!
Welcome!
