Eisenstein’s drawings
If you’re a bit of a movie-afficionado, then you’ve probably heard of Sergei Eisenstein. An old Russian bloke, who did some movies back in the early/mid 1900’s, of which a bunch of them became classics - especially because of his intriguing use of pace (also called ‘visual rhythm’). He was very much ahead of his time using cutting techniques that you’ll find in most modern movies today. A web site has now dedicated some good effort on one of his sketchbooks from 1914, when he was 16 years old. Very intriguing to look at and read about.
