Speaking about flying – I’m using my sparse spare time on flying a bit of a sim. My current infatuation? A Gulfstream II. Aahh. “Volare – ooh – ooh. Cantare, o-o-o-oh!”

Where does time go!? Some claim that it ends up here. My theory is that time flies when you’re focusing on the future, but flows when you’re focusing on today… All right, too much Zen!

I’m busy. But not “oh-my-frigging-God-I-am-stressed-out”-busy. I’m not taking pictures, going for long walks or recording my next big hit (Hah!). I’m studying. Well, most people know now, so I might as well tell you also. You know that I’ve bitched about what the hell to do with my life, starting over from scratch (just pick a random post or try this) over the last couple of years (“Try since 2001 my man!”. “Oh, sorry!”). It has been tough, also because it’s not always easy to change your life path when you aren’t 20 any longer, knowing it might take at least ten years before you’re comfortable in your new field of work. Well, eureka, I (think I) found it. You might even have guessed it by snooping around my site recently. But I have been reluctant to show off for two reasons:

One – I don’t know what the hell I’m jumping into, and I don’t know if I’ll ever succeed. But that’s the beauty of the beast, and as long as I’m just going in one direction instead of circling around myself, it can only be better than doing nothing. One thing might lead to another as long as you’re out there taking a walk on the wild side.

Two – It can seem a bit pretentious, this thing I’m getting myself into, but it has been chosen very carefully and with maximum effort on eliminating all other possibilities that didn’t fit into all the required categories (the categories being the “space” in where I find myself comfortable working, including all aspects from human interaction to job function, visions, creativity etc.). A lot of “sorting out the lettuce from the spinach” has been done.

And as a hidden agenda – the third reason, which tipped the scales: I think I have a few stories to tell. Top that with some very encouraging words from a guy who works in the industry (I owe you one, Søren), and there you have it.

What it is? Movie directing. Wish me luck. I need it.
