2spare.com has gathered a nice collection of 87 Bad Predictions about the Future. Very funny. You probably already know some of them. What is missing is the famous Bill Gates quotes: “640K ought to be enough for anybody.”(1981) and “The Internet? We are not interested in it.” (1993)…

Hahaha – very funny indeed!
I think they avoided the 640K quote by Bill because it’s presumably not true. Check: http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Bill_Gates
By the way, the 640K limitation was not set by Microsoft, but by IBM who made the CPU and architecture that could not handle more than 640K.
But Bill has said some other quite funny things, according to wikiquote. Such as “What’s a network?” and “I believe OS/2 is destined to be the most important operation system, and possible program, of all time”.

Oh I forgot my own predictions:
In 2000 I predicted that SMS (Texting) would never become widely used because it was too hard to type on a mobile phone. At the same time I predicted that WAP (mobile web sites version 1) would be the next big thing. It was much easier to use and more capable of carrying meaningful information and interfaces.
Clever eh? ;-)
