Happy 10th anniversary!

The very first design of Interiority.com
Update: I forgot to mention, that if some of you are keeping up with this web site through your RSS reader, links to my photos might not work until the RSS feed has been ‘refreshed’ to reflect the new links I have been forced to implement in order to move all of my photo-work to Flickr. And also, as a reminder, for those of you that uses Internet Explorer on a Windows PC: This site is optimised to a web standards compliant browser, so please use Firefox if you want everything to appear like it should. ,’¬)
As a commemoration of this web site’s 10th anniversary, I have created a new and fresh look. I hope you like it.
Damn. Ten years. (The domain was bought late 1996). Not a helluva lot of people can say that they’ve had a web site for more than a decade. All right - nothing ever happened here before late 1997, but still - it has been ten years and counting. The term “blog” was coined by web-journal pioneer Travis Petler in early September of 1997 [wikipedia] - almost at the same time this web site went fully alive. But it was not until 1999 that I started blogging seriously - around when when Brad Fitzpatrick started LiveJournal in March 1999.
After having owned the domain “Silicongraphics.com”, which I politely handed over to SGI after they got in touch with me through their lawyers, I bought the domain because I had read Douglas Coupland’s excellent book, Microserfs. In that book, a bunch of people are leaving Microsoft in order to start up their own business. The name “Interiority” wins over a lot of suggestions from the group in an attempt to find a name for their business. The book took me by storm, and I decided to get a hold of this domain name to both honour Mr. Coupland, and because of its literal meaning.
It is fun to visit archive.org and take a look at what they have on record on different web sites. Unfortunately they don’t have much to look at regarding interiority.com. But hey, instead I have created an anniversary page where you can take a look at this web site’s history! You can see all the designs the site has been through, the designs that never became anything tangible, and I have written some words along the way. Enjoy if you like, and here’s to another ten years!
