“Limbo” looks good, but does it play?
A small Danish-based game developer, called Limbo Games ApS are in the midst of creating a 2D game called, well, “Limbo”. Set in a very distinct look it is yet another fine example of how to create something working without it necessarily having to be photo-realistic 3D. Furthermore the developers of Limbo are cutting down the time frame for implementing new ideas because they utilise a 2D rather than a 3D engine. Only time will tell if the gameplay will be as innovative as Patapon, LocoRoco or recently, Braid (even the unofficial Portal 2D is very playable indeed). But it looks good indeed.
