The Film School… act two

As expected, I didn’t get any further with my application to the National Film School of Denmark. The school was so kind to get one of the members of the application committee to write me a few words as to explain why. Much to my pleasure I learned that it wasn’t the craftsmanship that was [...]

YAHOOO!

Just got the news: After having submitted my two films, I have moved on to the second step of the admission test for The National Film School of Denmark! I am so frigging happy! Oh joy! Ahead lies up to five different tests until six directors have been chosen - my very own “Big Brother” [...]

Morten wounded

As promised earlier, here’s a behind-the-scenes photo from ‘Shopping Spree’ of Morten Øland and his wound, beautifully created by Emilie Grossos Aabye.

Finally!

My recent short, is now up in the film section. I will create a subtitled version + a Flash version as soon as I can. Until then you have to watch it in Danish… Enjoy!

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark

Mads Mikkelsen and Jesper Christensen (in the back)
A lot can be said about the Danish involvement in both the war in Iraq and the undiplomatic incident regarding the infamous Muhammad Drawings. But it seems that a lot of good can be said about the talent of Danish cinema. Not only one, but two renowned Danish [...]

Production photos

Behind the scenes photos from the shooting we did last weekend. In order not to reveal too much, the photos aren’t particular saucy (which I guess they aren’t in general). I have one or two more photos to show, but they’ll have to wait until I’ve finished the movie and you’ve seen it.

The shooting went very well, thanks to the hard working crew. Unbelievable how much effort they put in it, and I’m very honoured to have worked with them all. Tony Lorentzen, once again, was the photographer, Maria Esther Lemvigh the actress, whom acted up against Morten Øland. Emilie Grossos Aabye was the special effects makeup artist. A small and wonderful team.

It was a tight schedule. We ended up shooting 12 scenes/angles the first evening and 9 the next, completing approx. 90 takes. Good thing we shot it on DV and not on film (^_-) - the upside of that particular medium. And now I’m currently working on the editing which will take me a while, before the finished film is ready to behold. As usual I will keep you posted.
