Doing da movie thing

Busybusybusy. I am going to shoot my next short movie this weekend. I’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, if you are bored, I’ve now joined the social computing revolution and have joined both MySpace and YouTube. As a movie maker, that is.
Spread the love… :-)

Got photo, need vote

So, long time, no see (again) - I am breaking all rules regarding successful blogging. Anyway. I am busy trying to get my mini-movie shot for submission to the National Film School, so if you’re an actress 25-35yrs, living in Copenhagen and have time to spare the next couple of weeks, please contact me :-)

I’ll let you know how it went later on. I’ll also soon have a small movie section up and running here. I have just added a small movie section now. Go check out my first short! Then I’ll only need my old “art”-section and I should be done (after a couple of years of fiddling around with this site)… Blah. :-P

In the meantime, I have submitted an image up at JPG Magazine. And just to, you know, spread the love and everything, here’s a small banner to promote some clicks that might help me to get at least noticed:

[The voting is over and so the image from JPG Magazine was removed. The image got in the magazine! Thank you for your votes!]

Hope you’re all well. Let’s talk soon, okay? :-D

Game development as movie development?

In my humble observation, the working environment of a game studio is very much like a software company, which seems logical, because in the end it is software that are being developed. So we have game studios, where people are sitting with well defined jobs, hired on contract for a longer period of time. Roughly, [...]

Ethical product placement?

A lot of commercial investments are made in regards to product placement. Miami Vice has no less than 36 placements, Talladega Nights a whopping 89 (according to my count). Now, I realise that it is difficult not to include something if you depict everyday life in a rural setting from the Western world, but there [...]

Wine-dropping

Well, if I’m not capable of shameless name dropping, then I’m capable of a wine-ish derivable thereof. Right… Cheeky little bastard I am… Ahem…

Admiration

Movies and music are related in terms of taste – it fluctuates. But often you find yourself having a certain relation to certain genres / themes etc. in certain periods of your life. And for me, this of course this also goes with directors, or movie makers. Two of these have my deepest admiration these [...]

Machinima

A whole sub-culture of moviemakers, making movies with games, has emerged over the past few years. People are collaborating all over the world, making small cinematic experiences with the use of tools for games like Halo, Quake II and more. Some unique small movies, which are called “machinima” [Wikipedia] (a portmanteau of machine cinema or [...]

Felliniesque

God may not play dice but he enjoys a good round of Trivial Pursuit every now and again.

Truth to be told…

The Conservapedia “Masterpiece of the week”. Strangely enough, painted by Maximilien Luce, a French painter, that was active with anarchist groups in Paris in the 1890s.
Warning: Old news ahead! You’ve been warned.
I won’t pretend that I know a whole lot about American politics, but what I have learned is that certain right-wing movements seem to [...]
