An Internet Paradox™

ARPANET logical map circa 1977 source:The Computer History Museum
Update: Speaking of deep-linking, here’s a funny collection of bandwith stealers - images that sometimes are being shown if someone are linking to an image not hosted on their own server…
The ARPANET, the progenitor of the global Internet, began as a “Galactic Network” concept for the United [...]

What’s in a name?

According to Leapfish.com, my domain name is worth $62.000 (dkr360.000 / €48.000). Wowsers. As suspected, sex.com is an estimated $1.000.000… Egad!
Update:
Of course, as David points out, the most expensive one must be Google…

Machinima

A whole sub-culture of moviemakers, making movies with games, has emerged over the past few years. People are collaborating all over the world, making small cinematic experiences with the use of tools for games like Halo, Quake II and more. Some unique small movies, which are called “machinima” [Wikipedia] (a portmanteau of machine cinema or [...]

If this had been two years ago…

… I would have said “YES!”, faster than you could have said “No!”, to a job as the “local” (i.e. Danish branch) webmaster for Apple computer’s web site. It is not without a tiny sense of agony that I have to turn this offer down, because I prioritise my studies in the field of storytelling [...]

Computer terrorism

Small note: I am online again at home At last! 23 days have gone!

Apple turns 30 on the 1st of April. The San Francisco Chronicle has a collection of interviews (podcasts) with former key people at Apple posted on their site, for fans and interested people alike. Among them are Steve Wozniak, co-creator of the Apple computer and Guy Kawasaki, Apple evangelist. Get rid of your Dan Brown [...]

Content Certificates

One thing that bothers me when surfing around on the web, is that much of the information I seek can seem inappropriate or untrue. I admit, having been a professional in the field of internet communication for several years, I have developed a keen eye for sorting out these things when I surf around: The [...]

Farewell Musser

Musser watching her territory.
My mother’s cat, called ‘Musser’ died today. One of the finest cats I’ve ever met. Graceful, wise, strong, playful, social, jazzy. She even smelled good. :-) She was seventeen years old.

If film studios developed video games

We’re lacking a clear backstory and dramatic arc for Puzzle Farter. Why is this story happening to this character, now? Why is he so gassy?
