Mactel?

Apple went to bed with Intel yesterday. I really don’t know what to say.
One thing is that games could be easier to port to the Mac, but I’m mostly a pro user and gaming is for my X-box (long live the Dreamcast), and a cheaper Mac? Well, that I need to see, before I [...]

iTunes & Artisterie

Yay! iTunes Music store was finally launched here in Denmark today! My bank surely are going to hate me even more now…!
Apart from that, I have put online some of my newest creations. They revolve around a concept, which I call the Kinetic Image. See more about this and check out the works so far [...]

Am I the only one…

…who undoubtedly, at least once every other day, types ‘.copm’ or some other obscure variant, instead of ‘.com’ in the browser’s URL / address field? I mean, 90% of the time it’s ‘.copm’ - somebody should make this standard.
Okay, browsers such as Safari on the Mac os X does not require you to write [...]

Dodge it!

Ever wondered how you could get rid of all the pesky logins on certain web sites, such as nytimes.com? And furthermore you don’t want to go through the hassle of giving out your e-mail address just so that a bunch of people will spam you ’till your eyes pop out of your head? Two things you need to know of:

1. Bugmenot.com - a site dedicated to storing logins to commonly used web sites (you can add your own too, and thereby help the community), and
2. Services, such as Dodgeit where you can set up an e-mail address you can use for such purposes without any hassle at all (just type in your preferred name and off you go) and you can even check your mail via RSS. Nice.

Music Pirates!

No, this is not a rant about mp3-pirates. What pisses me off is that sometimes you see TV commercials by renowned companies, using music that is not licensed - but total ripped off. I’ve seen several commercials doing this - among those one of the leading Danish banks - Den Danske Bank, using something right [...]

WFT, mate?

Adobe is buying Macromedia! Bloody hell. I never saw this one coming. Hopefully, just hopefully, the Macromedia Flash interface will finally get a facelift!
Apart form that, I really do not know what to say… Is this good or bad? I mean, I love Adobe & its programs, but I still do not like it [...]

Links

Okay, I’m not very keen about posting links here, so I’ve just added a small ‘links-blog’ over to the right (a bit down, since I probably won’t update it that often). So now you know… Later on, I’ll implement it with my CMS (which I’ve written myself) and perhaps I’ll also turn that part into [...]

The collective memory of the web

Whatever happened to Emese’s photo blog? All of a sudden, she disappeared from the net without a word or a trace, after her web site had been idle for months. Sad. It was very inspiring to look at her great photography skills. But it’s the nature of the Web, that things come and go, just like in real life.

Somebody should permanently store every web site out there for future reference. Actually, Waybackmachine.org does a good job in that regard, but they often do not have complete web sites stored, only snippets (and I can see the challenge in actually archiving every single web site for real). But I like to think of the web as a sort of collective memory for the people using it. Like peeking inside ‘the brain of the World’. I know, in order for that philosophy to work, everybody on the planet should have access to the Internet, but, hey - it’s a start. What is sad is that sometimes good things disappear for good, or some great things are never discovered. But that, again, also goes for real life, i guess…

Truth to be told…

The Conservapedia “Masterpiece of the week”. Strangely enough, painted by Maximilien Luce, a French painter, that was active with anarchist groups in Paris in the 1890s.
Warning: Old news ahead! You’ve been warned.
I won’t pretend that I know a whole lot about American politics, but what I have learned is that certain right-wing movements seem to [...]
